Xiaomi’s Upcoming Flagship Appears on Geekbench with Snapdragon 855, 48-megapixel Camera

Xiaomi is reportedly working on a huge camera revamp on their smartphone and earlier rumors claimed that the company is gearing up to launch a smartphone with 48-megapixel camera.

Now, another upcoming flagship device from Xiaomi named the ‘Cepheus’ has been spotted on Geekbench.

The benchmark listing shows that the Xiaomi ‘Cepheus’ will be powered by an Snapdragon 855 octa-core chipset along with 6GB of RAM. In terms of performance, the Xiaomi ‘Cepheus’ scored 3,475 points in single-core test and 10,872 in multi-core test. This device listing shows that the Xiaomi Cepheus runs Android 9 Pie out of the box.

Few reports hint that the smartphone will arrive with a dual camera setup on the back, where the primary camera sensor will be of 48-megapixel and the secondary sensor could be super wide-angle or telephoto lens.

Although, the other specifications of the device is unknown, the smartphone is expected to come with trending in-display fingerprint sensor. It is also anticipated to feature an OLED display with Full HD+ resolution as well as support for Always-on display.
Xiaomi is currently working on two flagship phones; Mi 9 and Mi MIX 4. There is a high possibility that “Cepheus” will become a either Mi 9 or a Mi Mix 4. Yesterday, official video, press renders of upcoming Redmi 48-megapixel camera phone appeared on Weibo and it revealed the waterdrop notch display and the dual camera setup on the back panel of the phone along with the fingerprint scanner.

Xiaomi is hosting a Redmi event on January 10, in Beijing, where a new Redmi phone is expected, with speculation being that the Redmi 7 and Redmi Note 7 will launch.
