Xiaomi’s set to launch smartwatch in India teased for july 24

Huami’s sub-brand of Xiaomi is all set to enter into the Indian market by bringing its couple of smart watches/fitness bands.T he company is expected to launch he Xiaomi Amazfit BIP and the Xiaomi Amazfit Stratos. The company revealed about their launch in the Twitter handle where the two smartwatches are expected to unveil on July 24 in India.

Watch it unveiled in India on 24th July. #DoItRight.These two smartwatches are compatible with the Android as well as the iOS operating system. The company launched the Amazfit Bip with a square dial in February this year at $99 (approximately Rs 6,800), while the Amazfit Stratos is priced at $199.99 (approximately Rs. 13,600) and comes with a round dial.

These two smart-watches will be launched under the brand Huami instead of Xiaomi. Perhaps to promote the new brand.

Xiaomi Amazfit BIP

Talking about specifications, Amazfit Bip comes with a 1.28-inch always-on color display with 176×176 pixels resolution. The display is protected with a coating of Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top.

The wearable comes with an IP68 rating which makes it dust and waterproof.

The smartwatch is also backed by a 190mAh battery which claims to offer four months of backup on a single charge under watch mode. On regular mode On regular mode, the device promises to offer 30 days of battery backup.

Support for notifications for voicemails, text messages, e-mails, and support notifications for the third party apps Physical heart rate sensor with a precise heart rate measuring algorithms. 3 axis-accelerometer, GPS, and GLONASS.

Connects with Android or iOS smartphone with Bluetooth 4.0 LE.

Xiaomi Amazfit Stratos

Amazfit Stratos features a 1.34-inch always on display with 300×320 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass on top.

The device is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor paired with 512MB of RAM. The smartwatch offers 4GB of RAM and comes with an array of sensors including ambient light, gyroscope, air pressure sensor and others.

The device is water resistant and it packs a 290mAh battery. The device claims to offer five days of battery backup on a single charge. It can last up to 35 hours on when GPS turned on.

The company also offers interchangeable wrist straps with the device and in terms of connectivity, it offers Bluetooth and LTE.
