Xiaomi which has launched its flagship Blackshark Helo gaming smartphone with a premium price is now busy in working with an affordable one which is speculated to be a gaming smartphone.The company had a great year with all it successful smartphones including the Redmi Note 5 series, the Redmi 6 series, the Mi Mix 3, Mi 8, and many more devices. Where the Redmi Note 5 Pro has been the best selling smartphone ever since its launch beginning this year. Now rumour speculating that a new smartphone could include Xiaomi’s family.
The rumour is first spotted on the Weibo, where the Xiaomi‘s upcoming smartphone range will be called “Xiaomi Play” and the first device is rumoured to arrive at an event that is set to take place between December 17 and December 26. The rumours also claim that he company could be launching a new youth-focused smartphone on Christmas eve, which is on December 24. The company, however, is yet to reveal official details regarding the Xiaomi Play.
By the name, we can speculate that the upcoming smartphone Play series could be aimed at mobile gaming enthusiasts. As per the previous handsets like Poco F1 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 works well for gamers as well. However, it is important to note that the company has its Black Shark range to meet the requirements of the gaming phone market.
The Weibo listing doesn’t reveal any specifications or price of Xiaomi’s upcoming smartphone. While most rumours suggest it will be another gaming-centric smartphone. There is also a chance that the company may take steps in competing with honor brand which also has a play series.
However, the company didn’t reveal many details about specifications and price of the upcoming smartphone. we need to wait still more days before details emerge about this upcoming smartphone series from Xiaomi. At present every brand is concerned about the gaming smartphones there is a possibility that Xiaomi is expanding its portfolio across device segments that include the BlackShark Helo starting at RMB 3,199 (around Rs 32,000) and Poco F1, which starts at RMB 1,999 (around Rs 20,000).
