Xiaomi Trolls Huawei’s New P30 Series on Facebook

There are not many corporate rivalries bigger than the one between the two companies, who constantly fight for supremacy of the smartphone market. After several fun trolls between Samsung and Apple, now its time for Chinese giants. Huawei recently unveiled its new flagship P30 series at an event in Paris with the great cameras and amazing zoom capabilities. Another Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi poked fun at its competitor Huawei.

Xiaomi shared on Facebook a screenshot from the live-stream of Huawei`s launch event held in Paris digging at the pricing and the specs of the Huawei P30, comparing it against its flagship the Xiaomi Mi 9.

Is this really necessary?” Xiaomi captioned the screenshot that showed Huawei highlighting the prices of their latest smartphones. Moreover, Xiaomi posted another image comparing the specs and price of its new flagship Mi 9 and the Huawei’s flagship P30, with a caption, “we really believe in giving you amazing products at #HonestPrices. Do you think a flagship smartphone should cost a fortune? #Mi9?

 

P30 series smartphones come with powerful Kirin 980 chipset. The P30 has a 6.1-inch AMOLED panel whereas the Huawei P30 Pro comes with bigger 6.47-inch AMOLED Panel.

The new Huawei P30 Pro has a new quad camera setup with the new impressive 40-megapixel F 1.6 super spectrum sensor, a 20 megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens at time-of-flight cents on the side and the 8-megapixel super zoom lens which has the periscope design that brings the ability to capture photos with 5x optical zoom 10x hybrid zoom and up to 50x digital zoom. The Huawei P30 Pro can now take photos with 10 times hybrid zoom twice the distance from the Mate 20 Pro using AI stabilization.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 also comes with almost similar specifications. It sports a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display with a waterdrop notch on top. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC, coupled with 6GB/ 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The processor is paired with Adreno 640 GPU. There is a 3,500mAh battery under the hood, with support for Qualcomm 20W fast wireless charging. The company calls it Charge Turbo and it can deliver up to 27W over USB-C.

In terms of optics, the Mi 9 sports a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary sensor 12-megapixel telephoto camera and a 16-megapixel wide-angle camera. On the front, the handset has an upgraded 24-megapixel selfie camera with certain AI capabilities.

Coming to the pricing, the Xiaomi Mi 9 is priced at 499 Euros (approx. Rs 38,000) whereas the Huawei P30 is priced at 799 Euros (approx. Rs 62,000). That’s almost double the price of Xiaomi’s flagship! Surprising. Isn’t it?
