After the recent launch of two new smartphones in India, Xiaomi looks set to bring a new variant of its highly popular Redmi Note 7 Pro. According to a new report, an upcoming version of the Redmi Note 7 Pro will carry an increased memory offering, with a 6GB RAM and a 128 internal storage. The report mentions that the smartphone might be available by April and may carry a price tag of Rs 16,999, as opposed to the launch price of the 4GB RAM variant of Rs 13,999.
Xioami has shared a video on Twitter, which says that the new variant will soon be available via Mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores. The video with the caption “Watch this space tomorrow,” hints that the company will launch the top-end variant of the Redmi Note 7 Pro with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage on April 9.

To recall, the Redmi Note 7 Pro comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio, thanks to the dot-notch. Under the hood, there is an octa-core latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot allows for further storage expansion.
In terms optics, the Redmi Note 7 Pro gets a dual camera setup at the rear. The configuration comprises a 48MP Sony IMX586 sensor, coupled with a secondary 5MP secondary sensor. Just like the Redmi Note 7, the camera app on the Note 7 Pro also powered by nifty AI-assisted features like AI-based beautify mode, AI scene detection, AI-based portrait mode 2.0. On the front, the handset gets a single 13MP AI front camera. The device camera supports 4K video recording at 30fps and it also has EIS. The company also claims the camera on the Redmi Note 7 Pro has 4x superior dynamic range.
Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 4,000 mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support via USB Type-C. On the software terms, the Redmi Note 7 Pro runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 skin.
