Xiaomi is one of the major smart wearable (Fitness) manufacturing companies in the world. In 2018, the brand became number one in the Indian wearable market thanks to the the Mi Band 3. From last few days, we have been coming across a lot of leaks and speculations regarding the Mi Band 4, the successor to the last year’s Mi Band 3. Now, according to a new report Xiaomi is all set to launch the much-awaited Mi Band 4 in China on June 11.
The brand has posted a teaser for this upcoming Mi Band 4 on China’s micro-blogging platform Weibo, that confirms that Mi Band 4 will be launched in the home-country on June 11. The teaser also claims that the Mi Band 4 will come with more exciting features. Furthermore, it is expected to come with longer battery life.
In China, the Mi Band 4 is expected to launch alongside the new Mi TV on June 11. Besides the olor display, the upcoming Mi Band 4 will be the first wearable from Xiaomi to support company’s own voice assistant XiaoAI. To save battery from the new color display, the Mi Band 4 will come with a big 135mAh battery pack, which is bigger than the 110mAh battery seen on the predecessor Mi Band 3.
According to the earlier reports, the Xiaomi Mi Band 4 will sport Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, which will be an improvement from Bluetooth 4.2 LE option on the current variant. It is also tipped to come with an improved heart-rate sensor and a photoplethysmography (PPG) monitor to detect blood volume in the microvascular bed of tissue. Xiaomi might also launch a model with NFC for mobile payments. Previous leaked render also hinted that Xiaomi will replace the physical button seen on the Mi Band 3 with a capacitive one on the Mi Band 4.
