Xiaomi was promised to give MIUI 10 on Redmi Y2 in the launch event and now they started rolling out the MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM for the Redmi Y2. Xiaomi has officially announced the rollout on MIUI Forum and their social handle. Some users in India already received the Stable OTA update.
The MIUI 10 Global Stable ROM is first for India starting with Redmi Y2. The OTA update version number MIUI 10.0.1.0.OEFMIFH which is 501 MB in size, and it includes August security patch. The update is based on Android Oreo.
Manu Kumar Jain, the Managing Director of Xiaomi India tweeted a photo about the same and he also promised remaining Xiaomi devices will also receive MIUI 10 very soon.
The MIUI 10 update brings a considerable amount of UI changes and under-the-hood improvements for the Redmi Y2. Xiaomi re-designed the notification shade and the multitasking window. Various inbuilt MIUI apps including Clock and Notes revamped. Further, you can also find improved gesture-based navigation system. Xiaomi is introducing the “Natural sound system” in MIUI 10 which gives natural-sounding. So each notification you receive will be based on nature sounds and will be changing randomly so you won’t get bored of them.
