The smartphone is expected to be the successor to the original Redmi Pro that was launched in China in 2016.

While the details shared in the leaked image are not specified, the Redmi Pro series has been mentioned in the post, along with the Redmi Pro 2 name as well. The post also mentions that the smartphone to be a ‘national photo flagship’, which can be speculated that this is the one we all are waiting for which will boast 48-megapixel camera-bearing smartphone.

To recall, The Snapdragon 675 was unveiled in October, as a successor to the Snapdragon 670. t is built on the 11nm fabrication architecture, to be more efficient than many mid-range chipsets. The Snapdragon 675 also brings better graphics performance, AI-related tasks and superior imaging to mid-range devices.

The primary reason for expecting the upcoming device boast 48-Megapixel camera is that this is the one that comes with Snapdragon 675 SoC that was previously associated with the imaging-focused smartphone. And also at the Qualcomm 4G/ 5G Summit in October, Xiaomi Global VP and India Head Manu Kumar Jain suggested the new model by revealing the development of a new model with the Snapdragon 675 SoC. The chipset notably supports up to 48-megapixel camera sensor and we look forward to see more significant leaks about the smartphone over the next few weeks.
