Xiaomi launched the Redmi Note 9 smartphone in the Indian market in July. Initially, the company introduced the phone in four colours – Aqua Green, Arctic White, Pebble Grey, and Scarlet Red. Now, the brand has now introduced a new Onyx Black colour variant of the smartphone in India.

Xiaomi currently selling the Redmi Note 9 smartphone for Rs 11,999 for the base variant that comes with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage. There is also a 4GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128 GB storage models priced Rs 13,499 and Rs 14,999, respectively.

The Redmi Note 9 comes with a 6.53-inch Full HD+ display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Powered by the MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, the device packs 5,020mAh battery that supports 22.5W fast charging through USB-C.
In the camera department, the Redmi Note 9 has quad-camera setup on the rear with a primary camera of 48-megapixel with an f/1.79 lens, 8-megapixel secondary sensor with an ultra-wide-angle f/2.2 lens, a 2-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor with an f/2.4 lens. For selfies and video calling, there is a 13-megapixel sensor. Software-wise, it runs Android 10 OS-based MIUI 11 skin. The handset measures 162.3 x 77.2 x 8.9mm and weighs 205 grams. Other features on the phone are a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, IR blaster and a 3.5mm audio jack.
