Not too long ago, Xiaomi launched its Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 series in India, which consists of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 and the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphones. Both the phones fall under the mid-range segment and are priced between Rs 10,000 to Rs 20,000 in the country. However, many reasons led the company to increase the price of Redmi Note 8 and Note 8 Pro phones. Now, once again, Xiaomi has revised the price of its Redmi Note 8 smartphone in India.
Speaking of the new pricing, the Redmi Note 8 base model with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage will be available at Rs. 12,499 instead of Rs.11,999 selling price. Similarly, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model will be available for Rs. 14,499 instead of earlier Rs. 13,999 price tag.
The new prices are already live on Mi.com. However, the new prices of the Redmi Note 8 are not reflected on Flipkart or Amazon India. The smartphone is also available on the offline market and notably, this price hike is said to be for the offline market as well.

Redmi Note 8 Specifications
Redmi Note 8 flaunts a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, there is an octa-core latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset coupled with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage. There is a microSD card slot for further storage expansion up to 256GB.
For photography, there is a quad-camera setup at the rear. The configuration comprises a 48-megapixel primary sensor coupled with an 8-megapixel ultrawide and dual 2-megapixel shooter for macro and depth sensing. On the front, the device gets a single 13-megapixel AI front camera. Redmi Note 8 has a 4,000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support via USB Type-C. On the software terms, the Redmi Note 8 runs Android 9 Pie with MIUI 11 skin.
