Xiaomi Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro India Launch Date CONFIRMED

Xiaomi has finally revealed the launch dates of Redmi K20 Series in India. The most awaited  Redmi K20 and the Redmi K20 Pro will be launched on July 17.  Manu Kumar Jain, MD of Xiaomi India confirmed the launch dates via his official Twitter account.

The main highlights of these smartphones are the Redmi K20 is the first smartphone to come with Snapdragon 730 processor, on the other hand, Redmi K20 Pro becomes the cheapest smartphone to come with the flagship Snapdragon 855 processor.

Both these Redmi K20 Series smartphones come with premium features like a pop-up selfie camera, triple rear cameras, glass body, gradient design, AMOLED display and a huge 4,000mAh battery. Redmi K20 is expected to priced around Rs.15,000 – Rs.20,000 while the top-end variant Redmi K20 Pro may come with a Rs 25,000 price tag approximately. With the specifications, Redmi K20 Pro got, it can directly compete with the flagship smartphones from OnePlus and Samsung. While the Redmi K20 will take on the Realme X which is said to be launched on July 15 with a price tag around Rs 18,000.

As we already know that Xiaomi has announced Redmi 7A, the latest entry-level smartphone in India with a starting price of Rs 5,999 for the 2GB RAM + 16GB storage variant. While the other variant with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage comes for Rs 6,199. The company also confirmed that the Indian Redmi 7A variant is a slightly upgraded version of the Redmi 7A which was launched in China earlier.

There is a chance that the Redmi K20 Series may also come with minor upgrades compared to the Chinese versions. The price and specifications of Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro are still unknown for India but we will be able to know more in the coming days as the launch date approaches.
