Xiaomi today launched Redmi Go, brand’s first Android Go smartphone in India. The Redmi Go Android Go, Xiaomi’s new entry-level smartphone comes with a price tag of just Rs. 4,499 and it will consolidate Xiaomi’s smartphone leadership in India. The Chinese manufacturer has been making affordable smartphones for a long time, and the new Redmi Go Android Go phone comes pre-loaded with apps tweaked for the platform.
Obviously, the device’s specs won’t be able to match with its high-end, even mid-range smartphones, because the Android Go OS was created for devices with 1GB of RAM. And that’s exactly what the Redmi Go holds: 1GB of RAM, along with 8GB of storage. Redmi Go comes with a brushed metallic finish. The smartphone has launched in India in two colors options: Blue and Black.
Xiaomi Redmi Go Specifications
Speaking about the specs, the Xiaomi Redmi Go is powered by Android Oreo (Go edition), and the phone comes with Go versions of Google’s apps. The smartphone has a 5-inch HD display bearing an aspect ratio of 16:9. Powering the device is a Snapdragon 425 processor, aided by 1GB of RAM. As we mentioned earlier, the internal storage capacity onboard is 8GB, which can be further expanded via microSD card.
The Xiaomi Redmi Go has an 8-megapixel primary camera with an aperture of f/2.0 at the rear, assisted by an LED flash. The back camera also supports 1080p Full HD recording. Up front, there’s a 5-megapixel camera with f/2.2 aperture. A 3000mAh battery fuels the package.

Xiaomi Redmi Go price in India is Rs 4,499 for 1GB RAM and 8GB storage model. The smartphone will be available from 12 noon on March 22 on Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home stores. As part of launch offers, Reliance Jio is giving Rs 2,200 cashback and 100GB data free.
