Xiaomi Redmi 8A seems to be preparing for the Android 10 OS upgrade as it has been spotted running the latest Android version on the benchmarking site Geekbench. The listing shows the Xiaomi’s recently launched budget smartphone with the model number Xiaomi Redmi 8A. The Geekbench listing suggests that the company is working on the Android 10 update for the Redmi 8A and may roll out the update in the coming months if not weeks. To recall, the Redmi 8A received the MIUI 11 update in November last year.

It is to be noted that Xiaomi had released the Android 10 OS update to only a few smartphones and the list includes Redmi K20, Mi A2, Poco F1, Mi 9, Mi 9T. The Redmi 8A was the only recently launched budget phone with Android 9 Pie OS and now with the Geekbench listing, the update should be around for this phone as well.
