Xiaomi Redmi 7 with Snapdragon 632 SoC Officially Launched

Xiaomi has unveiled its new mid-range smartphone in China named Redmi 7 after several leaks. The new Redmi 7 is the successor of Redmi 6 that was launched last year. The company recently launched Redmi Note 7 and Note 7 Pro in India.

 

Xiaomi Redmi 7 Specifications

Coming to the specifications of the handset, the Redmi 7 will be coming with a 6.26-inch display along 19:9 aspect ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for protection. Under the hood, we can see an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 632 SoC. Furthermore, it will be coming in 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, 3GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage options. The storage can be extended further up to 512GB via microSD card slot.

Out of the box, the handset will be coming with Android 9 Pie with MIUI 10 on top. There will be a 12-megapixel primary sensor on the rear along with a LED flash coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary camera while on the front we can find an 8-megapixel main selfie camera. The camera comes with features such as AI Smart Beauty and Selfie Timer features. The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, USB, Infrared (IR) blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. There will be a 4000mAh battery powering the device.

Xiaomi Redmi 7 Price and Availability

The Redmi 7 is priced at RMB 699 (approximately Rs 7,100) in China for the base variant (2GB/16GB), RMB 799 (approximately Rs 8,100) for the 3GB/32GB variant and RMB 999 (approximately Rs 10,200) for 4GB RAM/64GB storage and is available in three gradient colors that include Dream Blue, Charm Night Red, and Bright Black.

We need to wait for few more days for the smartphone to be officially launched in India and it could be Flipkart exclusive in the country.
