Xiaomi Mi Max 3 leak hints at 5500 mAh battery, wireless charging and more

The Smartphone maker Xiaomi plans to unveil Xiaomi Mi Max 3 the successor to the Mi Max 2 phablet of Mi Max series which already passes through mandatory 3C certification in China. The company’s CEO statement who confirmed that the Mi Max 3 will be launched in July. The Mi Max 2 was launched in May last year.

According to the Rumours, one of the major improvement is the phablet will have a huge 5500mAh battery will arrive with fast charging support, just like the Mi Max 2. Xiaomi is going to equip the Mi Max 3 with support for wireless charging. None of the brand’s phones support wireless charging yet, so this will be quite an upgrade. The phone is listed with model number M1807E8S. With the mention of 12V/ 1.5A capabilities, the Mi Max 3 is expected to come with support for charging up to 18W.which was spotted in on Weibo.

Folks at XDA Developers have come out with a list of findings of the next Xiaomi smartphone. Like the screen on the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will be almost bezel-less which will accommodate an 18:9 aspect ratio screen. The Mi Max 3 will also get the Snapdragon 660 chipset under the hood, however, any more information on the inside of the device is yet to come out. The leak also hints at an aspect that will be cherished by many as the device will get the wireless charging support. As per the report, the next Xiaomi Mi Max 3 may have the S5K217+S5K5E8 Samsung sensor paired with the Sony IMX363 sensor on the rear.

Another leak came in from Chinese blog CNMO. They also claimed that Xiaomi Mi Max 3 will have a 5,500mAh battery with the thin bezel-less design. They released the leak back in December last year. The Mi Max 3 is expected to run Android 8.0 Oreo with MIUI 9 on top of it.

To recall, the Mi Max 2 sports a 6.44-inch full-HD+ display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of inbuilt storage, a 5300mAh battery, a 12-megapixel rear camera, and a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
