The much-hyped Xiaomi Mi 9 is getting real with its specifications confirmed from official sources ahead of launch. Xiaomi is prepping up to launch its latest flagship Mi 9 at the event in China on February 20. Each day the company revealed a key feature of the smartphone with intricate details such as the triple rear camera. Today, The company shared a video on its official handle on Weibo revealing the transparent edition of the Mi 9 in its full glory.
The device will be called Xiaomi Mi 9: Battle Angel and this product are made in partnership with the Chinese phone manufacturer and the movie Alita: Battle Angel. The teaser video opens with the movie trailer and it directs the attention to the Qualcomm chipset which is already confirmed to be Snapdragon 855. Along with this, the device will boast a triple camera setup and the Qi Wireless power charging coil on the lower side of the back. And the video spotlights on the writings like “MIUI” and “Super Mi”, pointing to the UI and what is likely to be a technology for CPU boost to gain maximum performance.
Lei Jun reveals it’ll be called Mi 9 Transparent Edition and will boast of 12GB RAM. It also seems to have wireless charging support. The company is known for making a limited edition smartphone for the sci-fi movie, and this video reveals exactly that. This special edition will launch alongside the regular Mi 9 variants on Wednesday when the company will officially introduce the flagship. Interestingly, The Battle Angel smartphone will launch earlier than the Battle Angel the movie since the Atlia movie will launch in China on Friday, February 22.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi confirmed its key spec details ahead of launch. The Mi 9 will have Qualcomm’s 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC ticking at its core. Moreover, 20W wireless charging has been confirmed launch. The smartphone will be housed by a 3,200mAh.
