Xiaomi seems to be working on launching its next flagship smartphone, the Mi 9 in the coming months. The Mi 9 will act as a successor to the current Mi 8.
The Mi 9 will be featuring a 6.4-inch display that supports full HD+ resolution of 19:9 aspect ratio. The display with a water drop notch will feature a 24 MP selfie camera with the Sony IMX576 sensor. The Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 855 mobile platform coupled with X24 LTE modem will be under the hood of the Mi 9 paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.
The report claims that the Xiaomi Mi 9 will ship with 32W fast charging besides Quick Charge 4.0 will be available on the device to recharge phone’s 3,500mAh battery.
The device will confirmed to feature a 48 MP rear camera using Sony’s IMX586 sensor, alongside a secondary 12 MP cam and a 3D TOF camera. As we mentioned, the phone will have a 24MP Sony IMX576 sensor for selfies and video calls.
The connectivity options on the device expected to include Dual SIM, 4G, Wi-Fi, dual-band GPS, dual–SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, USB OTG, and USB Type-C.
The device is likely to measure 155x75x7.6 mm in dimensions, and is anticipated to unveil in MWC 2019. Mobile World Congress is scheduled to run from 25-28 February 2019. The Mi 9 could go on sale at a starting price of RMB 2,999 (approx. Rs 30,500) in March.
