Xiaomi has taken off the wraps of its much-teased smartphone today in its home country China. Called the Mi 9 Pro 5G, the handset is launched as the cheapest 5G smartphone available in China.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro price starts at 3,699 Yuan which is about Rs. 37,000. Another variant with 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage is priced at 3,799 Yuan, 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage variant comes with a price tag of 4099 Yuan. At last, the top-end variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage costs 4299 Yuan.
One can choose from Dream White and Titanium Black color options. The pre-orders for the smartphone is already started and it will go on sale September 27.
Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G Specifications
The Xiaomi Mi 9 Pro 5G sports a 6.9-inch full HD+ super AMOLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and a waterdrop notch. It also offers a screen-to-body ratio of 90.7 percent. Under the hood, it has 2.96GHz Snapdragon 855+ SoC. There is upto a 12GB of RAM and upto 512GB of internal storage without microSD card support for expansion.
It has a Sony IMX586 48-megapixel sensor, 12-megapixel telephoto sensor, 16-megapixel ultrawide sensor triple camera setup on the rear. On the front, it features an 20-megapixel selfie camera.
The whole package is powered by a 4000mAh battery with 40W wired charging which takes 48 minutes to fully charge the device by using the in-box 45W charger. The Mi 9 Pro 5G also supports 30W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging. It takes 69 minutes to fully charge the Mi 9 Pro 5G through 30W wireless charging. It will be shipping with MIUI 11 based on Android 9 Pie. Other features include dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, dual band GPS and USB-C are available on the Mi 9 Pro 5G. It is equipped with 7 antennas for stutter-free 5G connectivity. The handset measures 157.21 x 74.64 x 8.54mm and weighs 196 grams.
The Mi 9 Pro 5G comes with vapor chamber liquid cooling technology along with graphite-based heat dissipation tech that can considerably reduce the internal temperature by up to 10.2 degrees. The smartphone offers better haptic feedback as it features a custom linear motor that vibrations while typing, zooming on camera and playing games. It features the same cameras that are available on the Mi 9.
