Xiaomi released the Mi 8-series smartphone in April of this year, and their successor are expected to unveil during the same time next year. While we are still few months away from the official launch, leaks have started pouring – giving a rough idea about the design and specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi smartphones.
Previously, the well-known tipster and concept designer Benjamin Geskin has shared a render of the upcoming Xiaomi phone. When it comes to the design, the smartphone likely to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with an edge-to-edge display with a smaller notch on top.
In a research report from GF Securities, Hong Kong, a new information has been published confirming the key specs of the devices. Both the smartphones are expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 8150 (or Snapdragon 855) SoC, and will feature triple-rear camera setups. The Mi 9 will possibly come with 6GB / 8GB RAM and just like the Mi MIX 3, it could also be offered in a 10GB RAM variant. There is no information on storage options, but the smartphone is expected to pack a 3,700mAh battery with fast charging (Quick Charge 5.0), and wireless charging facility and the smartphone could also come with 5G connectivity.
Obviously, MIX MIX 4 is equipped with a periscope lens, which does not take up more space and offers a higher optical zoom. MIX MIX 4 may have a folding screen, but it still needs to be decided by the company. Additional information, such as front-camera resolution, software, and pricing, is currently unavailable, but we expect new leaks in the coming months.
