Xiaomi Mi 8 SE launched with 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage:price specifications

Xiaomi, a Chinese mobile maker launched its  Mi 8, Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE smartphones in China back in May of this year. At that time Xiaomi Mi 8 SE was announced in two variants – 4 GB with 64 GB storage and 6 GB with 64 GB storage. And now the company has launched a higher variant with 6GB and 128Gb storage capacity of Mi 8 SE model.

The new variant has been listed in online in China with availability tag to be “coming soon”.The new variant is priced at 2,299 Yuan which is approx. Rs 23,166 and it comes only in Gray colour. To recall, the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant is priced at 1,799 yuan which is approx.Rs. 18,900), and  1,999 yaun which are approx. Rs. 21,100 is for the 6GB RAM/ 64GB storage variant.

The key highlights of the handset are this is the first smartphone of Xiaomi with new Snapdragon 710 SoC and there is no microSD card slot option for further expansion.

Apart from RAM and internal storage, all the other specifications and design elements remain the same. The MI 8 SE wears 5.88-inch display with a screen resolution of 2244×1080 pixels and an on-screen fingerprint sensor on the front. The phone is powered by a Snapdragon 710 chipset, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

For snappers, It had a dual rear camera setup at the back with 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors, whereas the front has a 20-megapixel front camera. Both the cameras boast AI features, with scene recognition capabilities, AI Beautify, and AI background bokeh for the selfie camera.

It runs on Android Oreo. The handset packs a 3120mAh battery that claims to offer 269 hours of standby, 108 hours of local music playback, 13 hours of video playback, and 7 hours of continuous gaming.

In terms of connectivity, It include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, MIMO, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, VoLTE, and USB Type-C support. Onboard sensors include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, compass, gyroscope, infrared, and proximity sensor.

Surely, the device is also one of the most valued-for-money premium mid-range you can find in the market so far.
