Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro Unveiled in China: Specifications, Price and Availability

Xiaomi finally unveiled its new series in China. The latest Mi 10 series include two phones: Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro. Both of these devices come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.0 storage, quad cameras and a massive battery with fast charging support. 

Xiaomi Mi 10 specifications

The new Mi 10 flaunts a 6.67-inch full-HD+ curved AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 90Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate. It has a peak brightness of 1,120 nits and offers a 5,000,000:1 contrast ratio. Powering the device is an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and it is coupled with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

In terms of optics, it has a quad rear camera setup on the rear that includes a 108-megapixel main camera with a 7-element lens, 1/1.33-inch sensor, and OIS support. It is paired with a 13-megapixel wide-angle lens with a 123-degree field of view and f/2.4 aperture. It also sports a pair of 2-megapixel cameras with f/2.4 lenses. The handset is capable of recording 8K videos at a resolution of 7,680×4,320 pixels. The punch-hole houses a single 20-megapixel selfie shooter.

It packs a 4,780mAh battery that supports 30W wired charging and 30W wireless charging. The phone also supports 10W reverse wireless charging. On the software front, it runs Android 10-based MIUI 11. It supports dual-mode 5G (SA + NSA) and Wi-Fi 6 standards.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Price, Availability

The Mi 10 base variant with 8GB RAM + 128GB storage is priced at CNY 3,999 (approx Rs. 40,000), while the 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs CNY 4,299 (approx. Rs. 43,000). The top variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB native storage is priced at CNY 4,699 (approx. Rs. 47,000). Mi 10 is launched in three color options: Titanium Silver Black, Peach Gold, and Ice Blue. Pre-orders for the Mi 10 will begin from today, and it will go on sale for the first time on February 14 in China. Xiaomi has also launched a cooler attachment priced at CNY 129 (approx Rs. 1,300). In addition, the Xiaomi also launched a 65W charger alongside Mi 10 series which costs CNY 149 (approx. Rs. 1,500).

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro boasts a 6.67-inch full-HD+ (1080 x 2340 pixels) HDR10+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 1,200 nits of peak brightness, 5,00,000:1 contrast ratio, DC Dimming, DCI-P3 color gamut support, and 180Hz touch sampling rate. It also comes equipped with the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. The handset features up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

For photography, the quad rear cameras comprise of a 108-megapixel primary sensor with an 8-element lens, 1/1.33-inch sensor size, and OIS support. It is aided by a 20-megapixel wide-angle camera with f/2.2 lens and 117-degrees field of view. It also sports 12-megapixel camera with an f/2.0 lens and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens with f/2.0 lens, 10x zooms, and OIS support. 

The device gets juice from a 4,500mAh battery that supports 50W wired fast charging, 30W wireless fast charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It supports dual-mode 5G (SA + NSA) and Wi-Fi 6 standards.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Pro Price, Availability

Mi 10 Pro, on the other hand, comes with a starting price of CNY 4,999 (approx. Rs. 50,000) for the 8GB + 256GB model. The mid variant with the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage costs CNY 5,499 (approx. Rs. 55,000) while the top-model with 12GB RAM + 512GB storage comes with a price tag of CNY 5,999 (approx. Rs. 60,000). The phone is already up for pre-order and the first sale will start on February 18 in China. It will be available for buyers in Pearl White and Starry blue colors. Xiaomi has also launched a protective case that has a small slot for displaying time and notifications. It is priced at CNY 69 (approx. Rs. 700) and comes in a single red color.
