Xiaomi Black Shark Gaming Smartphone to Launch in India Soon

Xiaomi unveiled its first gaming smartphone Black Shark in China, last year. The Black Shark is specially designed for gaming and Undoubtedly, it is one of the best gaming smartphones. The smartphone is already on sale in the home country China, UK, and Europe. Now, the c+ompany is set to launch the Xiaomi Black Shark in India as well.

According to a report from MySmartPrice, Xiaomi will be bringing the Black Shark Phone to the Indian market soon. Black Shark, is officially beginning operations in India. Headquartered in Bengaluru, it will be headed by David Li, VP of Black Shark Global. Li will also be managing operations in India while Chirag Nagendra (former OnePlus communications head) will take care of the brand building and communications strategy as India Marketing Head for Black Shark. The launch of Black Shark in India will make it the Xiaomi’s first gaming smartphone to be sold in the Indian market. However, for now, there’s no clue as to how much Xiaomi will charge for the smartphone.

However, guessing the price of Xiaomi Black Shark in India shouldn’t be that hard. The phone was launched in China at CNY 2,999 (approx. Rs. 31,100) in China for the 6GB RAM variant and at CNY 3,499 (approx. Rs. 36,300) for the 8GB RAM model. The controller was priced at CNY 179 (approx. Rs. 1,900). It is worth to mention that the company sells the controller independently and it does not come complimentary with the device.

Xiaomi Black Shark Specifications, Features

There’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chip. That has been accompanied by 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. The Xiaomi Black Shark sports a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with a resolution of 1080×2160 pixels resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. The Xiaomi Black Shark is backed by a massive 4000mah battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support.

The connectivity features include 4G LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, AGPS, and Glonass. The Xiaomi Black Shark measures 161.62×75.4×9.25mm and weighs 190 grams.

Therefore, if Xiaomi is launching the Black Shark for the Indian market, we can expect it to compete with the likes of the Asus ROG Phone and Razer phone.

To recall, Xiaomi introduced the Black Shark phone in China in April 2018 and later the company also unveiled it in the UK and Europe in November 2018.
