At the Xiaomi MIUI Core Experience Annual Meeting, the company reportedly officially confirmed the development of MIUI 11 process. It’s worth mentioning that these new development don’t necessarily mean that MIUI 11 will be launched to the public soon.
At the meeting, Lin Ming, the leader for product planning department confirmed that the company has officially begun the development of MIUI 11, confirming that the next iteration of MIUI will be called as MIUI 11.
According to some leaked images, the slide presented at the Xiaomi’s meeting confirms the development. Since the development on MIUI 11 is in an early stage, there isn’t much information regarding the the new OS from Xiaomi. The leaked presentation revealed a few details regarding the new Xiaomi ROM.
At the moment, we’re not sure about the features to be included the upcoming MIUI 11. But the presentation on MIUI 11 confirmed that Xiaomi would be focusing on “a new and unique OS”. MIUI 11 is expected to be based on Android 9 Pie.
Xiaomi announced the MIUI 10 in Q2, and hopefully, they announce the MIUI 11 in Q2 itself or beginning of Q3l. So, we might expect the MIUI 10 anytime in coming months.
