Xiaomi 12 series is expected to launch at the end of this month. According to a tipster, the upcoming Xiaomi 12 lineup will include vanilla Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12X, and Xiaomi 12 Pro smartphones, all of which may launch together. Although Xiaomi hasn’t revealed any details of its upcoming flagship series, it recently teased that the Xiaomi 12 would pack Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. There is also a possibility that these flagship phones will come with the company’s proprietary MIUI 13 skin.

Tipster Digital Chat Station has revealed on Weibo that Xiaomi may launch three smartphones codenamed L3A, L3, and L2 together. According to rumors, these codenames refer to Xiaomi 12X, Xiaomi 12, and Xiaomi 12 Pro, respectively. There were rumors last week that these three flagship phones would be launched on December 28 at a special event.

A previous report said that the upcoming Xiaomi 12 will not pack the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Xiaomi recently announced through Twitter that its upcoming smartphone will indeed be the first one to feature the new SoC. Currently, it is unclear in which device Xiaomi will add Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.

Earlier this month, Xiaomi 12’s camera specifications leak suggested that the handset will feature a 50-megapixel primary sensor on the rear camera setup. It is also said that the upcoming flagship handset will have an ultra-wide-angle lens, a periscope, and a telephoto lens. The device also boasts a full-HD+ display, an under-screen selfie camera, and support for 100W fast charging support.

The Chinese smartphone maker is also planning to announce the MIUI 13 later this month alongside the new flagship series. According to reports, the Xiaomi 12X will run on MIUI 13 based on Android 11, while the Xiaomi 12 might run on Android 12. The Redmi K50 and Xiaomi 12X are also reported to ship with Android 11-based MIUI out of the box, which will be upgraded to Android 12 later.
