Xiaomi 12 series has been unveiled in home-country China. The latest lineup of smartphones comes with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus, triple rear cameras, and 5G connectivity, Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, and MIUI 13 skin.
Alongside, Xiaomi has launched the Watch S1 in the country. It is currently only available in China but is expected to reach India soon. Currently, there are two Mi Watches available in India, the Mi Watch Revolve and Mi Watch Revolve Active, and Xiaomi launched its Watch S1 along with its Xiaomi 12 series.

Xiaomi 12, Xiaomi 12 Pro, Xiaomi 12X and Xiaomi Watch S1 will be available in China from December 31. They will be up for their pre-sales beginning from Tuesday. Xiaomi has not provided details regarding the launch of its 12 series in other countries, including India.
Xiaomi 12 specifications
Xiaomi 12 ships with a 6.28-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1,080×2,400 pixels screen resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, 1,100 nits of peak brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Xiaomi 12 is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
Xiaomi 12 smartphone has a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX766 sensor with an f/1.88 lens and optical image stabilization (OIS) support, a 13-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 ultra-wide lens that has a field of view of 123 degrees and a 5-megapixel macro shooter. The rear camera setup uses its own CyberFocus technology for an enhanced focus-locking.
On the front of Xiaomi 12, there is a 32-megapixel selfie camera sensor. It supports Stagger HDR and artificial intelligence (AI) based beautification features.
It boots Android-based MIUI 13 out of the box. Among the connectivity options are 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR), and a USB Type-C port. Other features of the Xiaomi 12 are Dolby Atmos support, Harman Kardon-tuned stereo speakers, and support for HiRes audio.
Xiaomi 12 comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 67W fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and 10W reverse wireless charging. It measures 152.7×69.9×8.16mm and weighs 180 grams.
Xiaomi 12 Pro specifications
Xiaomi 12 Pro boasts a 6.73-inch WQHD+ E5 AMOLED display with 1,440×3,200 pixels resolution, 1,500 nits of peak brightness, a 120Hz dynamic refresh rate, 480Hz touch sampling rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Additionally, it includes low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) backplane technology similar to what Apple uses on its premium iPhones.
Xiaomi 12 Pro comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, along with up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
With the Xiaomi 12 Pro, you’ll find a triple rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX707 sensor with an OIS-supported wide-angle f/1.9 lens, a 50-megapixel portrait sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. There is also a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front of the phone.
A variety of connectivity options are available, including 5G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth v5.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, Infrared (IR), and a USB Type-C port.
Among its audio features, the Xiaomi 12 Pro offers a four-unit speaker system that includes a dedicated tweeter to deliver an improved audio experience. The speaker system comes with Harman Kardon tuning.
A 4,600mAh battery powers the Xiaomi 12 Pro, which supports 120W fast charging. There is also 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse wireless charging support. It measures 163.6×74.6×8.16mm and weighs 205 grams.
Xiaomi 12X specifications
It is essentially a tweaked version of the Xiaomi 12. The Xiaomi 12 has the same 6.28-inch display as the regular Xiaomi 12. Similarly, it comes with a triple camera on the back and the same battery of 4,500mAh.
With respect to its differences, the Xiaomi 12X is equipped with an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of native storage.
Xiaomi Watch S1 Features
It resembles the Mi Watch Revolve in terms of design. It features a round dial, with a metallic finish and two crowns on one side. Also on its top is sapphire crystal glass
The device features a 1.43 inch AMOLED display with 117 sports modes. Moreover, the Xiaomi Watch S1 includes GPS. Furthermore, the Watch S1 has 24×7 health management features and various sensors.
Additionally, the Xiaomi Watch S1 has a 5ATM water resistance rating. It will last up to 12 days on a single charge and supports wireless charging through Qi wireless charging technology.
