| By Shandilya

The Facebook-owned company WhatsApp which is simple and most popular messaging app keeps on rolling out new features and updates in order to enhance the user experience. It has been continuously making changes to its app on both iOS and Android platforms. Now it has come up with new features which can make your day.

‘Click to Chat’

WhatsApp’s Click to Chat feature allows you to begin a chat with someone without having their phone number saved in your phone’s address book. As long as you know this person’s phone number, you can create a link that will allow you to start a chat with them. By clicking the link, a chat with the person automatically opens. So that saving of unnecessary numbers can be avoided. Click to Chat works on both your phone and WhatsApp Web.

Link instantly with Facebook

Whatsapp has added a new feature for its beta users of the Facebook app. This new feature allows users to share the link instantly via ‘Send to Whatsapp’ option. This will eliminate the need to go to share options in the drop-down menu. It will let businesses create a link between the two platforms: advertisers can now include a button on their ads so that people can call or message via WhatsApp with the click of a button.

Group audio calls

WhatsApp reveals another interesting feature that will enable users to do group audio calls on iOS devices. This means that you’ll soon be able to make voice calls to your multiple contacts directly through the instant messaging app. This feature will be similar to the current audio calling feature with some minor changes.

For Android users, on the other hand, WhatsApp has added a ‘Select All’ option that lets you easily mark all the new messages as read or archive all your chats with a single tap.

New media visibility feature

Whatsapp import a new feature to its Android beta version. That is Media visibility feature. With the new Media visibility feature, you can now choose whether you want to make the media that you’ve received on WhatsApp visible in your gallery or make it limited to WhatsApp only. This means that if you’ve disabled the Media visibility feature, the media will not appear in your gallery app, though you’ll be able to view all the photos and videos you’ve received from your WhatsApp contacts directly within WhatsApp.Ths feature already exists in iOS devices.

Request account info feature

Recently, WhatsApp added a feature to its app which is the account information feature. In this new feature, one can seek the report of his account information. But this information does not include the messages. This includes your profile photos and group names it uses end-to-end encryption that doesn’t allow anyone to access your daily communications

This report can be shared with another app. Whatsapp creates the report in three days and it will be available for downloading for few weeks.
