After featuring in a barrage of leaks, Vivo has officially launched new member in its Z-series, Vivo Z5 in home country China. The smartphone is launched in three RAM and storage variants and the price starts from RMB 1,598 (approx. Rs. 16,000) for its base variant in China.
Vivo Z5 Specifications
The Vivo Z5 features a 6.38-inch waterdrop notched display and the display present on the handset support Full HD+ resolution. The Snapdragon 712 SoC is powering the device with up to 8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of storage. The chipset comes with eight Kryo 360 cores and Adreno 616 GPU. Its 4,500mAh battery is coupled with 22.5W fast charging using USB Type-C port. The handset runs the company’s own FunTouch OS which is based on the Android 9 Pie.
The Vivo Z5 also comes with interesting photography features. The phone flaunts triple cameras at the rear with 48-megapixel primary snapper with f/1.79 aperture, an 8-megapixel secondary shooter (wide-angle) and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. Upfront, there is a 32-megapixel sensor for selfies and video calls.
Other features on the handset include face unlock, in-display fingerprint scanner, dual SIM card slots, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and GPS.

Vivo Z5 Price
The Vivo Z5 will be offered in three variants – 6GB RAM with 64GB storage, 6GB RAM and 128GB storage and a top-end model with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Vivo Z5 price starts from RMB 1,598 (roughly converts to Rs. 16,000) for its base variant and RMB 1,898 (roughly converts to Rs. 19,000) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. At last, the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant is priced at RMB 2,298 (approx. Rs 23,000). For the time being, the Vivo Z5 will be available in China only and the company hasn’t revealed anything about Vivo Z5 launch in India.
