Vivo Z5 Key Specifications Confirmed through Official Teasers

Vivo’s upcoming smartphone Vivo Z5 is going to hit the Chinese market on July 31. We have seen various leaks and we are already familiar with its key features and specifications. With just a few days left of its official launch in China, the company has shared few posters Chinese microblogging site Weibo which highlights some of the key features along with reasons that make the upcoming Vivo smartphone better than its rivals in the same price bracket.

One of the posters highlights that the Vivo Z5 will come with a Super AMOLED display. It also hints at the presence of in-display fingerprint scanner.

Another teaser image on Weibo reveals the presence of a 48-megapixel primary sensor on the triple rear camera setup and the 32-megapixel camera on the front. The sensor is expected to be the Sony IMX586. Furthermore, the teaser shows off the Vivo Z5 will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 712 processor SoC and will come equipped with Vivo’s Multi-Turbo technology which is in line with previous rumors.

As per the official posters, the Vivo Z5 has a 4,500mh battery with 22.5W fast charging. There will be a USB-C port for fast charging. Even though the Vivo Z5 is expected to launch in India, there is no confirmation regarding its India launch.

Vivo Z5 Earlier Rumors on Specifications

The Vivo Z5 might feature a 6.36-inch full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. Further, the phone is reported to be powered by the 2.3 GHz octa-core processor along with 6GB/8GB of RAM and 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB storage. Sadly, there is no microSD card slot for the further expansion of storage.

In terms of optics, the Vivo Z5 might feature a triple camera set up on the rear with 48 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP as its configuration and a 32MP selfie camera. It is likely to run on the Android 9 Pie-based FunTouch skin. The handset measures 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13mm and it weighs 189.6 grams.
