Vivo Z1X Confirmed to Launch in India on September 6, Flipkart Landing Page Reveals Some Details

| By DWR Editor

Vivo Z1X will launch in India on September 6, the company has confirmed. The company has revealed the launch event date on Twitter, which will take place on September 6 12:00 PM IST. Indian e-commerce website Flipkart has also created a microsite teasing the launch indicating that the smartphone will be exclusively available on the website.

The teaser image also highlights the key specifications of the soon-to-be-launched smartphone that include triple rear camera setup and an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Vivo Z1X will be the second smartphone in the Vivo’s Z-series and the new phone will join Vivo Z1 Pro, which was launched in last month in India. Ahead of the launch on September 6, the Vivo Z1X has been already confirmed to come equipped with a 48-megapixel main camera. It is expected to be paired with an ultra-wide-angle camera and dedicated depth sensor.

“The Z1X is designed for consumers that are performance-oriented and love playing heavy density games on their handset,” Vivo said in a statement. As part of the launch, Flipkart has created a dedicated landing page to share some details about the smartphone. The dedicated Flipkart page reveals that the phone might feature Vivo’s FlashCharge technology for fast charging. We expect the device to feature a massive 5,000mAh battery similar to the one seen on Vivo Z1 Pro. Furthermore, the handset will sport a USB Type-C port. The teaser also mentions ‘Xtreme Speed’. However, there is no clarification on the chipset of the phone.

To recall, the earlier launched Vivo Z1 Pro was fuelled by the Snapdragon 712 SoC and the upcoming Vivo Z1X is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 730 chipset. Since the Vivo Z1X is a direct competitor to the Realme X, Oppo K3, and Xiaomi Redmi K20, we can expect the handset to be priced similarly or even lower than these smartphones. Reports suggest that Vivo Z1X will be priced under Rs. 20,000 in India.
