Vivo has quietly launched a new mid-range 5G phone in China called the Vivo Y72t. It is a rebranded model of the Vivo Y55s 5G, announced in China in December 2021. Here’s everything you need to know about the Y72t’s specifications, features, and price.

Vivo Y72t price and availability

It is offered in 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants. They are priced at 1,399 Yuan (approximately Rs 16,265) and 1,599 Yuan (approximately Rs 18,591), respectively. 

The Vivo Y72t will be available for pre-order from tomorrow (May 23) in China in Interstellar Powder (pink gradient), Deep Sea Black, and Blue Sea colors.

Vivo Y72t comes with a 6.58-inch LCD screen with a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a 20:9 aspect ratio, 401 PPI pixel density, a refresh rate of 60Hz, and a screen-to-body ratio of 92 percent. 

The Vivo Y72t is equipped with a Dimensity 700 chipset alongside up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It handset gets juice from a 6,000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. 

The Vivo Y72t features a notch that houses an 8-megapixel selfie camera. A rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary camera and a 2-megapixel macro camera. Both cameras support Full HD video recording. 

It runs on Android 11-based OriginOS 1.0. There is a fingerprint sensor on the side. Connectivity options include a dual SIM slot, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS, a USB C port, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 163.87 x 75.33 x 9.17mm and weighs 200 grams.
