It appears that Vivo is preparing to launch a new smartphone in the Y-series after launching the Vivo V21e 5G smartphone in India. The Vivo Y72 5G smartphone is expected to launch in India soon. Back in March, it was announced in Thailand.
The official launch poster for the phone in India has leaked online, showing the device and bank offers, among other details.
91Mobiles report claims that the Vivo Y72 5G will be launched on July 15th in India. Based on the handset’s leaked poster, customers can get Rs 1,500 cashback via HDFC, ICICI, and Kotak banks on the purchase of the Y72 5G. 
Furthermore, customers will get a one-time screen replacement and Jio benefits worth Rs 10,000 with the purchase of the device. Vivo Y72 5G pricing details have been revealed by tipster Yogesh. The phone is expected to cost under Rs 20,000 in India.
The poster claims that the phone will have a 1080p FHD+ display and a refresh rate of 90Hz. According to the report, the device will launch in two color options – Dream Glow and Graphite Black. In addition, it will support 4GB of Virtual RAM.
Vivo Y72 5G Specifications
Since the Vivo Y72 5G was already launched in Thailand, the handset’s specifications are already known. Vivo Y72 5G comes with a 6.58-inch full HD+ IPS LCD display with 1080 X 2400 pixels resolution, a 20:9 aspect ratio, and a screen-to-body ratio of 90.6 percent.
The device is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor. There is 8GB of RAM, 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage, and the device also supports microSD expansion.
It has a triple rear camera setup comprising an 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with a 120-degree field of view and a 2-megapixel macro lens with a focal length of 4 cm. It features a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies.
Other specs include a side fingerprint scanner, Face Unlock support, 5000mAh battery with an 18W fast charging support. Connectivity options include 5G, dual-SIM 4G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 5.1, Type-C port, GPS + GLONASS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Android 11 comes pre-installed on the Vivo Y72 5G, along with the Funtouch OS 11.1 skin.
