A new mid-range smartphone from Vivo has been announced in Taiwan. Dubbed as Vivo Y55 5G, the phone features a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, 50MP triple-rear camera setup, and 5000 mAh battery. Vivo Y55 Launched

In Taiwan, Vivo Y55 is only available in one version. It is priced at NTD 7,990 (approx. Rs 21,500) for the 4GB/128GB variant. The brand will likely offer multiple variants in India. Vivo is likely to begin rolling out the smartphone now in specific markets including India.

Vivo Y55 Specifications

Vivo Y55 5G boasts a 6.58-inch FHD display with a 20:9 aspect ratio, an 81 percent screen-to-body ratio, 441 PPI pixel density, and a waterdrop notch for the front camera. Vivo Y55 5G is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 128GB native storage. The storage is further expandable up to 1TB via a microSD card.

Furthermore, the triple camera system on the back features a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture lens, a 2-megapixel macro camera with an f/2.4 aperture, and another 2-megapixel sensor coupled with an ultra-wide-angle lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The front camera is 8MP with an f/1.8 aperture. 

The device also comes with a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging. It ships with Android 1-based Funtouch OS 12 out of the box. On the left of the phone, there are a power button and volume rocker.

The phone also features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, 4D game Shock Sensation, Multi-Turbo 5.0 that includes a five-fold liquid cooling system and multi-dimensional heat dissipation. In terms of connectivity, Vivo Y55 5G offers 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, USB OTG, NFC, and Bluetooth v5.1.
