Vivo Y50 launched in India for Rs. 17,990: Check specifications, features

Just a few months after launching the Vivo Y50 smartphone in Cambodia, the company has unveiled the same phone in the Indian market. Powered by the Snapdragon 665 SoC, the Vivo Y50 packs quad rear cameras, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000mAh battery. The smartphone will be available to purchase via both offline and online retail channels from later this week. 

 

Vivo Y50 Price in India, Availability

It comes in a single variant with 8GB RAM and 128 GB internal storage that is priced at Rs. 17,990. It is available in Iris Blue and Pearl White colors. The phone will go on sale from Wednesday, June 10, through both online and offline retail channels.

Vivo Y50 Specifications

The Vivo Y50 features a 6.53-inch full HD+ punch hole display with 1080×2340 pixels screen resolution, a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 SoC coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage.

As for the optics, the Vivo Y50 has a quad-camera setup on the back consisting of a 13-megapixel primary shooter, an 8-megapixel wide-angle shooter with 120 degrees field-of-view, a 2-megapixel portrait shooter and a 2-megapixel macro camera with 4cm focal length. Upfront, there’s a 16-megapixel snapper for taking selfies.

The smartphone, which has an rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, runs Android 10 OS with the FunTouch OS on top. The device is powered by a 5000 mAh battery and there is no support for fast charging. Connectivity options on the device are 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging. Sensors onboard include accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
