Last month, two new Vivo models were spotted on Geekbench and hinted at the new phones to launch under Y series. And the Geekbench had revealed some core specifications of the upcoming devices. Now, according to the new reports, Chinese giant Vivo will be launching the Vivo Y5 in India as Vivo Y17. Moreover, the report has revealed the possible specs and pricing of the upcoming mid-range phone, which is being developed by Vivo.

The report also hinted that the device will hit the Indian market for a price of Rs. 16,990 (expected). The company is expected to send out invites for the product launch event in the coming days.
The device has been named as Vivo Y17 in India and the size of the display panel happens to be about 6.35-inch. We can expect the device to sport the MediaTek Helio P35 processor, 4GB of RAM along with 32GB/64 GB of internal storage. The device is said to come with massive 5,000mAh battery with fast charging facilities and on the software front, it will run on Android 9 Pie OS out of the box.

As we can see in the promotional poster of the device, the smartphone features a triple rear camera setup that is aligned in vertical fashion along with the LED flash. The image also shows the rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. Talking about the design, the Vivo Y17 likely to have minimum bezels around the screen clubbed with a waterdrop notch on top housing the front camera.
