First announced back in November in the Hong Kong and Vietnam markets, Vivo has today announced the Vivo Y12s smartphone in India. The phone debuts in India as a slight upgrade over the Vivo Y12 that was launched in the country in June last year.

Vivo Y12s Price in India, Availability

Available in Phantom Black and Glacier Blue color options, the entry-level Vivo Y12s is priced at Rs. 9,990 for the single 3GB + 32GB storage variant in India. The phone will go on sale in the country through Vivo India online store, Amazon, Flipkart, Paytm, Tata Cliq, and across all partner retail stores.

Under the hood, the Vivo Y12s uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 439 SoC, coupled with 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage which is expandable via microSD card. It ships with Android 10-based Funtouch OS 11 out of the box.

It flaunts a  6.51-inch HD+ (720×1,600 pixels) IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. There is a dual rear camera setup and a single selfie camera on the front.

It comes fitted with a 5,000mAh battery that supports regular 10W charging. The camera setup includes a 13-megapixel primary sensor with an f/2.2 lens and a 2-megapixel secondary sensor with an f/2.4 lens and an LED flash, while there is an 8-megapixel (f/1.8) sensor for selfies and video calling sits inside the waterdrop notch.

Connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM Radio, and a Micro-USB port. Sensors onboard include an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, magnetometer, and a proximity sensor. It features a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The handset measures 164.41×76.32×8.41mm and weighs 191 grams.
