Smartphone maker Vivo unveiled its affordable Y-series smartphone Vivo Y12. It is launched at a starting price of Rs.11,999 and will go on sale in India this week.
Some quick highlights about this smartphone are the triple camera setup on the back and a massive 5000mAh battery for long battery life. This is also the cheapest available smartphone with three rear cameras.
Vivo did not confirm the sale date of this smartphone but can be expected very soon. Interestingly, Vivo Y12 will be available only across offline stores across the country. According to a report by an offline dealer, Vivo Y12 may be available in two variants in the market.
Vivo Y12 Specifications
Vivo Y12 comes with a 6.35-inch Halo FullView HD+ display with 89% screen to body ratio and an aspect ratio of 19.3: 9. It is powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P22 processor and comes with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It runs FunTouch OS on top with Android 9.0 Pie OS. It also got a fingerprint sensor on the back and face-unlock sensor.
To talk about the camera setup, Vivo Y12 has a triple camera setup in the back comprising of a 13MP primary camera, 8MP camera and a 2MP camera. For selfies, it has an 8MP camera with AI features. It is backed by a huge 5,000mAh battery which is also used as a power bank, which means Vivo Y12 can also be used to charge another device via OTG.

The base variant of Vivo Y12 with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage is priced at Rs.11,999 while the top-end variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage come for Rs.12,990.
