Under its Y series, Vivo introduced another budget smartphone in the African market. Dubbed as Vivo Y01, the phone packs MediaTek Helio P35 SoC and runs on Android 11 (Go Edition) out of the box. Although the smartphone’s pricing is unknown, it will be available in Sapphire Blue and Elegant Black colour options.
Vivo Y01 Specifications
Vivo Y01 offers a 6.51-inch HD+ display with 720 × 1600 pixel resolution, an aspect ratio of 20:9, and a 60Hz refresh rate. The device is powered by the MediaTek Helio P35 chipset along with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Dedicated microSD card slots allow users to expand storage up to 1TB.
At the back of the phone, there is a single 8MP sensor with an f/2.0 aperture. In addition, there’s a 5MP f/2.2 front-facing camera for selfies. The phone packs a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging via a micro-USB port.
The Vivo Y01 runs Android 11(Go edition)-based Funtouch OS 11.1. There is no fingerprint sensor on the device. However, it does have face recognition. Connectivity features include dual-SIM, 4G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
The company recently unveiled the Y33s 5G smartphone in China as part of its Y series. The key highlights of the Vivo Y33s 5G are MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, Extended RAM 2.0, and a dual rear camera setup.
