The Vivo X70 series was launched recently in India and other markets. In India, Vivo launched X70 Pro and X70 Pro Plus models but not the base X70 variant. Now, it looks like Vivo is soon going to release its next flagship series. A new leak indicates that the X80 series will launch soon. Vivo is preparing to launch the X80 series in the first quarter of 2022.
Vivo may unveil the X80 series earlier than expected. As per 91Mobiles, Vivo’s next flagship smartphone could be released by the end of January or the start of February. It is further reported that the company will only launch two smartphones in India: Vivo X80 Pro and X80 Pro+. Reports indicate that the company is unlikely to launch the X80 in India, just like the X70 series.
According to the rumor, Vivo’s upcoming X series flagship smartphones will be unveiled in India just around the time when OnePlus is said to launch its OnePlus 10 series. These two flagship series will be in direct competition with Samsung‘s upcoming Galaxy S22 series, set to be unveiled on February 8 at the Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event.
At this point, we do not know anything about the two flagship Vivo X-series smartphones. You can expect the devices to feature Zeiss-tuned cameras and Vivo’s Gimbal-stabilisation for stable photo and video recording. In addition, the phone will likely use the Snapdragon 898 (Snapdragon 8 Gen 1), or Dimensity 2000 SoC.
According to reports, the base model of the device will have the MediaTek Dimensity 2000 processor, a 120Hz Full HD+ screen, Android 11 OS, a 50MP primary camera with a sensor size of 1/1.3 with 5-axis stabilization, a 12MP telephoto lens with 2x zoom. At the moment, nothing is known about the ultrawide camera’s sensor.
