Vivo has announced its new X80 series in China which includes two new smartphones: Vivo X80 Pro and the Vivo X80. Even though the Vivo X80 Pro Plus was not announced at the event, it is likely to introduce at the global Vivo X80 series launch event on May 8.

Vivo X80 Pro Price, Availability

The Vivo X80 Pro launched in both Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC and the Dimensity 9000 SoC variants. The phone is already up for pre-orders in China and will ship on April 28.

Vivo X80 Pro Specifications

Vivo X80 Pro boasts a 6.78-inch E5 2K AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 3200×1440 pixels, 20:9 aspect ratio, 92.22% screen to body ratio, P3 colour gamut, and 120Hz screen refresh rate. It comes in MediaTek Dimensity 9000 SoC and Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC variants. Both processors are built on top of a 4nm process. The device packs up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

It features a quad camera setup engineered by Zeiss optics consisting of a 50MP (f/1.57, OIS) GNV primary camera, a 48MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 12MP (f/1.85) portrait camera, and an 8MP ( f/3.4, OIS) telephoto lens. There is a 32MP selfie camera on the front of the device. There are several camera modes, including up to 5x optical zoom, 60x digital zoom, night mode, portrait mode, pano, HDR, pro mode, dual view, double exposure, and a lot more. 

Powering the phone is a 4700mAh battery that supports 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

It ships with Android 12-based OriginOS Ocean OS. The phone offers 5G, 4G, nano-SIM slot, in-display fingerprint scanner, face unlock, dual-band Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi 6, 2×2 MIMO, Bluetooth 5.3 (Dimensity), and Type-C USB 3.2 Gen1 port. It measures 9.1mm thick and weighs 215 grams.

The vanilla Vivo X80 sports a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz screen refresh rate and P3 colour gamut. Powering the device is a Dimensity 9000 SoC with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.

There is a triple-camera setup that comprises a 50MP (f/1.75, OIS) main camera, a 12MP(f/2.0) ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 12MP (f/1.98) telephoto lens. The phone offers up to 20x digital zoom. It comes with a 32MP front-facing camera. 

Vivo X80 is powered by a 4,500mAh battery that supports 80W fast charging, and it does not support wireless charging. It measures 8.78mm thick and weighs 205 grams.
