Vivo has launched the new X70 series in it’s home-country China. The latest lineup includes three new smartphones – X70, X70 Pro and X70 Pro+. The company is all set to announce these three phones globally on September 13. Here is everything you need to know about Vivo X70 series specifications, price, availability and other details.
Vivo X70 series price, availability
The Vivo X70 comes in three configurations. The 8GB + 128GB variant is priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs 42,150) while the 8GB + 256GB model comes with a price tag of CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs 45,600). The top-end variant with 12GB RAM + 256GB storage costs CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 49,000).
The Vivo X70 Pro comes in four variants: 8GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. These variants are priced at CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs 49,000), CNY 4599 (roughly Rs 52,400), CNY 4,799 (roughly Rs 54,700) and CNY 5,299 (roughly Rs 60,400), respectively.
The Vivo X70 Pro Plus, on the other hand, launched in three storage options. The 8GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 5499 (roughly Rs 60,400), the 12GB + 256GB model is priced at CNY 5999 (roughly Rs 68,300) and 12GB + 512GB model comes with a price tag of CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs 79,800).
The Vivo X70 series smartphones are expected to hit the Indian market later this month or in October.
Vivo X70, X70 Pro specifications
The Vivo X70 boasts a 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
In terms of optics, there is a triple-camera setup on the back with a combination of a 40MP Sony IMX766V primary sensor, a 12MP portrait lens and a 12MP ultrawide camera. The hole-punch cutout on the front houses a 32MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, it packs MediaTek Dimensity 1200 SoC, coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory. Powered by a 4400 mAh battery, the handset supports 44W fast charging.
The device has an in-display fingerprint scanner. It boots Android 11-based Origin OS 1.0 skin. The handset weighs 181 grams and is 7.5mm thick.
The Vivo X70 Pro also comes with a 6.56-inch Full HD+ AMOLED (slightly curved) display that offers a 120Hz refresh rate support.
On the rear, it has a quad-camera setup that includes a 50MP Sony IMX766V primary camera, a 12MP portrait lens, a 12MP ultrawide sensor and an 8MP telephoto camera sensor. The hole-punch cutout on the front houses a 32MP selfie camera.
Powering the device is a 4450 mAh battery with 44W fast charging support. It runs Origin OS 1 skin which is based on Android 11.
It is fueled by the Exynos 1080 SoC and it is also Vivo’s first phones to come with its custom V1 chip. The processor is coupled with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage. It is 8mm thick and weighs 186 grams. It also has an in-display fingerprint scanner, a USB Type-C port, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, etc.
Vivo X70 Pro+ specifications
Vivo X70 Pro+ sports a 6.78-inch QHD+ Super AMOLED E5, 10-bit LTPO panel with up to 120Hz refresh rate support, peak brightness of 1500 nits and 517PPI. The display is curved one.
For selfies, there is a 32MP camera. The rear of the phone packs Zeiss-tuned quad-camera setup with a 50MP Samsung GN1 sensor with OIS support, a 48MP Sony IMX598 sensor and an 8MP telephoto sensor. Both the ultrawide and telephoto camera feature OIS support. There is also a 12MP portrait lens with OIS support. The rear-camera setup also comes with 360-degree horizontal image stabilisation.
Powered by the Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 Plus SoC, the handset is available with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The device gets juice from 4500 mAh battery that supports 55W wired charging, 50W wireless charging and 10W reverse charging. The phone is IP68-rated for water and dust resistance. On the software front, it ships with Android 11-based Origin OS 1 skin.
