Vivo has finally announced the launch date of the Vivo X60 series after dozens of rumors and leaks. The smartphones will arrive on December 29 as per the poster shared by the company on Weibo. It is expected that the company might launch the Vivo X60 5G, Vivo X60 Pro 5G, and Vivo X60s 5G smartphones under the series.
The Chinese smartphone maker will use the new Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC on the X60 lineup phones. Engadget China‘s report also confirmed that Vivo will be among the first brands to use the Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC. Further, it has been confirmed that the phones will come with Night Vision 2.0 camera mode.
While the report does not confirm any other specifications, the teaser reveals that the back panel of the Vivo X60 Pro 5G will have a quad rear camera setup. The Vivo X60 5G will feature a triple rear camera setup.
As we mentioned earlier, the X60 series will be fuelled by Samsung‘s latest Samsung Exynos 1080 SoC. It is a 5nm EUV process-based chip and has a 4+3+1 core configuration. The chip comes with support for high refresh rate displays and can support up to a 200-megapixel camera sensor. The Vivo X60 5G series will run on Vivo’s new OriginOS skin out-of-the-box.
While pricing details aren’t officially revealed, a tipster has revealed that Vivo phones will be launched with a starting price of CNY 3,500 (approx. Rs. 39,400) As a reminder, the latest information is a leak and we don’t know exactly what Vivo has up its sleeves. We will update you more on this once we get any official word.
