The new foldable smartphone from Vivo has been launched in China. The company has launched its second foldable phone, the Vivo X Fold+ 5G. In comparison with the X Fold 5G, the Fold+ offers a few minor improvements. The phone is powered by a new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC, manufactured using a 4nm process.
As of yet, Vivo hasn’t announced when it will launch its foldable phone outside of China. In the meantime, here are the specifications, price, and other details of the Vivo X Fold+ 5G.
Vivo X Fold+ 5G Price, Availability
There are two storage options available for the Vivo X Fold+ 5G. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant costs CNY 9,999 (roughly Rs 1,13,900) while the 12GB RAM + 512GB storage option is priced at CNY 10,999 (roughly Rs 1,25,300). You can purchase the phone in China in three colors: black, blue, and red.
Vivo X Fold+ 5G Specifications
The X Fold+ 5G comes with an 8.03-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 2K resolution. The E5 AMOLED panel uses LTPO 3.0 technology to refresh the display between 1Hz and 120Hz. On the outside, there is a 6.53-inch Full HD+ E5 AMOLED display with support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone features a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner on both screens for faster unlocking.
It is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. The phone has 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the phone comes with a 4700mAh battery with 80W fast charging support and 50W wireless fast charging.
It runs Android 12-based Origin OS Ocean out of the box. On the back, there are four cameras: a 50MP main camera with OIS support, a 48MP ultrawide camera, a 12MP portrait shooter, and an 8MP periscope camera with 5x zoom.
