Vivo will be the first smartphone brand to launch with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. Recently, Qualcomm officially unveiled Snapdragon 865 chipset that comes with an integrated 5G modem. This new SoC will be powering most of the flagship devices launching in 2020.
The new Snapdragon 865 comes with the X55 5G Modem-RF System that supports peak 5G speeds of up to 7.5 Gbps and better connection stability. The improved ISP can process up to 2 gigapixels per second, with support up to 200MP and 8K video.
Chinese giant Vivo already launched its first 5G smartphone called Vivo NEX 3 in September this year. Now, we can confirm that the first 5G phone powered by the next-gen Snapdragon 865 SoC.

For now, the company is all set to launch the new Vivo X30 series in China. The new Vivo X30 series will include Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro smartphones. The company will be hosting a launch event in China on December 16. This will be the company’s first phone to pack Samsung Exynos 980 SoC.
