Vivo has officially confirmed that Vivo V23 5G series will launch in India on January 5. The series includes Vivo V23 5G and V23 Pro 5G models. That announcement came via a teaser released by the brand on the social media handle.

In the teaser, some specs that have already been leaked for the two models were confirmed. Design-wise, the V23 5G and V23 Pro 5G resemble the Vivo S12 and S12 Pro, which were announced earlier this week in China. In the teaser, we see a flat-screen Vivo V23 with a metal frame and the Vivo V23 Pro with a curved screen. The teaser also reveals that the V23 series will be India’s first color-changing smartphone featuring color-changing glass that reflects a spectrum of brilliant colors. It will be available in  Sunshine Gold color variants of both phones.

Among V23 Pro 5G dual selfie cameras are a 50MP camera and an ultra-wide sensor. This device will come powered with the Dimensity 1200 chip from MediaTek. In addition to its 108MP rear camera, the V23 Pro will have ultra-wide and macro cameras.

The vanilla V23 will be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 920. The V23 series will ship with Android 12-based FuntouchOS. There will be a 64-megapixel camera set up on the Vivo V23. In addition, these devices will come with a 4GB extended RAM feature and support for 44W fast charging. There will be a 4,200mAh battery unit in the Vivo V23. On the other hand, the V23 Pro will have a 4,300mAh battery.
