Vivo has announced the launch date of the Vivo V19 in India after a month of delay. The smartphone was set to launch hit the Indian market on 26th March but was postponed as the country was placed under lockdown to control the spread of coronavirus. Now, the company has announced that its new mid-range smartphone, the Vivo V19, is launching in India on May 12.
Even though the price of the Vivo V19 in India has not revealed officially, a previous report suggested that it would be approx. Rs. 25,000 for the base variant (8GB RAM + 128GB storage). The smartphone is also tipped to launch in India in Mystic Silver and Piano Black colors.
To recall, the brand already launched the Vivo V19 in the Indonesian market in March this year. However, the India variant will be slightly different from the Indonesia variant as it is already teased to feature dual hole-punch selfie cameras instead of the single hole-punch selfie camera found on the Indonesian variant.
Vivo V19 reportedly launching in India with Snapdragon 712 SoC. It is likely to come with a 6.44-inch full HD+ Super AMOLED punch-hole display with 2340 x 1080 pixels resolution and a 20:9 aspect ratio.
On the rear, the quad-camera setup will include a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel macro camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, there will be a 32-megapixel main selfie sensor and the 8-megapixel wide-angle-camera.
In terms of battery capacity, the phone is expected to pack a 4500mAh battery with support for 18W Dual Engine Fast Charging via USB Type-C port. It will run on Android 10 with Funtouch OS 10.
