Vivo V17 Pro India Launch Date Revealed Officially

Chinese brand Vivo will launch the dual-lense pop-up selfie camera smartphone- the Vivo V17 Pro in India on September 20. The company has started sending the media invites for the launch event to be held on the said date. The key feature of the V17 Pro is that it is the first smartphone to pack dual-lense pop-up selfie camera and quad-camera setup on the rear.

Vivo has begun teasing the arrival of the V17 Pro through Twitter and Facebook accounts in India. The teasers reveal that the smartphone will be equipped with a 32MP dual Pop-up selfie camera. The Vivo V17 Pro is a successor to V15 Pro, first appeared in the teaser for Bigg Boss hosted by Bollywood actor Salman Khan. The company already started teasing the phone through promo materials at New Delhi metro stations.

As per the reports, the forthcoming Vivo V17 Pro sports a 6.44-inch (2440×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with an aspect ratio of 21:9. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 Mobile Platform, which is an octa-core processor. It might include 6/8GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage.

On the camera front, there will be a quad-camera setup- 48-megapixel primary sensor, an ultra-wide-angle sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and possibly a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The selfie camera is a 32-megapixel shooter with a 2-megapixel depth sensor for portrait mode effects.

Vivo V17 Pro will be backed by a 4100mAh battery and it is likely to support fast charging. On the software front, the smartphone is tipped to run Android 9.0 Pie operating system based on FunTouch OS UI.

There is no information available on the pricing of the Vivo V17 Pro as of this writing. However, the smartphone will likely be priced in the sub Rs. 30,000 price bracket and thus take on the likes of the Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, OnePlus 6T, Zenfone 5Z among others.
