Vivo S1 First Teaser Released In India

The Vivo S1 was launched in Indonesia earlier this week, and now the Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has posted a teaser video of the upcoming smartphone that hints towards the imminent launch in India. Yesterday, a report had claimed that the Vivo S1 will go on sale in India on August 15.

The Vivo S1 is the first Vivo phone under the S series. The short half-second video doesn’t reveal much about the phone but the first teaser video of the Vivo S1 ends with “all-new S series coming soon’ message. As per the rumors, Vivo’s upcoming series of smartphones will be aimed towards offline markets.

Vivo S1 Specifications

Talking about the specs, the Vivo S1 sports a 6.38-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display. Under the hood, it houses MediaTek Helio P65 12nm octa-core SoC, paired with 6GB RAM. The smartphone features an in-display fingerprint sensor and has dewdrop notch at the front.

On the back, there are vertically stacked triple cameras with an LED flash and the setup comprises of a 16-megapixel primary sensor with f/1.78 aperture, 8-megapixel ultrawide secondary sensor and a 2-megapixel tertiary camera sensor for depth sensing. The dewdrop notch at the front accommodates a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The Vivo S1 packs a 4,500mAh battery with support for 18W fast charging. Vivo S1 runs on Android 9 Pie with Vivo’s native FunTouch skin. On the connectivity front, the device has Dual 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n/ac dual-band, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS, and a micro USB port.
