As said Vivo unveiled its much-awaited Apex 2019 concept phone this day. As promised the smartphone comes with no ports, no physical buttons, and obviously no selfie camera. The smartphone comes with a seamless all-display design without a notch or a punch-hole and comes with a dual rear camera setup. Just after the launch of Meizu’s Zero phone, the Vivo unveiled its futuristic smartphone but this phone is just a concept phone where it is actually showcased in the MWC 2019 on next month.
For now, the company didn’t reveal the latest smartphone pricing details and all, most probably the company could speak out about the release date and pricing details on MWC event. Now the company has listed only a few specifications of the Apex 2019 to give a general idea of what Vivo wants to achieve with this handset. The biggest achievement of this smartphone design is it looks to set the trend for the year ahead.
For the specs, The New Apex 2019 will flaunt a 6.39-inch AMOLED display surrounded by a very thin bezel and interestingly it has a full display fingerprint scanning that means you can touch anywhere on the display to unlock via the in-display fingerprint scanner. This is one of the most-advanced in-display fingerprint scanner tech from all.
The Vivo Apex 2019 doesn’t have any physical buttons whatsoever and relies on pressure and gestures for quick actions like Meizu Zero. Vivo is calling this technology Touch Sense and it’s a mix of capacitive touch and pressure sensing. For charging, Vivo uses a new tech called MagPort there are magnetic pins at the back for connecting a magnetic charger that is also used for data transfer.
The Vivo Apex 2019 comes with 5G support, and armed by a Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X50 5G modem, the Snapdragon 855 SoC, 256GB of storage, and 12GB RAM.
Along with ditching the 3.5mm audio jack like all other smartphone manufacturers, Vivo took a step ahead by ditching USB port and front camera as well. For photos, The device sports a dual camera module at the back. For speakers, Like Zero phone the display of the vivo Apex 2019 doubles as the speaker by using a piezoelectric transducer to emit sound.
On the software front, the device is seen running Android Pie-based FunTouch OS 5.0. Buyers will be able to choose from three colour options including Mica White, Titanium Silver, and Strontium Lime.
