Vivo has finally unveiled the Vivo APEX 2019 smartphone in China. It not only offers a unique design, but also it is powered by some top-end specs. The handset is also equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner which has a scanning area that covers the whole screen. In other words, no matter where you put your finger on the screen, the Vivo APEX 2019 unlocks. Amazing isn’t it?
The Vivo APEX 2019 comes with a “Super Unibody” design. This phone is made up of glass and no metal frame is used. As reported earlier, the Vivo APEX 2019 doesn’t have any ports or buttons. Yesterday, Meizu also unveiled a similar phone named Meizu Zero that without any ports. Vivo APEX 2019 uses full-screen sound technology that uses the screen of the phone as a speaker and the earpiece.
The major features of the Vivo APEX 2019 include a 6.39-inch AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855, support for 5G via eSIM, liquid-cooled plate, massive 12GB RAM and up to 512GB of storage. This phone’s internals have 3D duplex stacking design and uses MoB packaging technology to effectively reduce the space occupied by internal components.
The Vivo APEX 2019 features a dual rear camera of 12MP + 13MP and interestingly, it doesn’t have a front camera. The device has a 5G support for bands n41, n78, and n79. As the 5G usage heats up the device, Vivo used a combination of multi-layer graphite heat sinks and liquid-cooling technology to reduce the heat. There are no words on the battery capacity and OS version of the Vivo APEX 2019.
The Vivo APEX 2019 comes in three color options: White, Gray, and Black. Meanwhile, this is just a concept and it seems Vivo will introduce it as the next-generation NEX phone in upcoming months. Before the official launch, we can expect Vivo APEX 2019 to be showcased at the Mobile World Congress 2019 which is scheduled to run from 25-28 February 2019 in Barcelona.
