Upcoming iQOO 8 display specifications teased

iQOO is preparing to release its flagship smartphone series, the iQOO 8 series soon in home-country China. The iQOO 8 series from Vivo’s spin-off brand will be announced on August 2. Some of the features of the phone are already being teased ahead of launch. Now, iQOO has also hinted at some details about the smartphone’s display. 

The company confirmed on Weibo that the upcoming iQOO 8 series will have a 2K E5 display. It will come equipped with an AMOLED 10-bit screen. The display will also sport LTPO (Low-Temperature Polycrystalline Oxide) technology for a variable refresh rate support that switches between 1Hz and 120Hz depending on the on-screen content. As of yet, the size of the display has not been confirmed.

The iQOO 8 lineup is already confirmed to pack Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888+ processor. Two important improvements have been made by Qualcomm to the ‘Plus’ variant. As a result, the SoC’s core CPU speed is increased to 2.995GHz, compared to 2.84GHz on the SD888 SoC. It also improves AI performance by 20 percent.

Previous reports stated that it would support fast charging of 160W. According to recent leaks, however, fast charging on the device will continue to be capped at 120W. The battery of the 4000 mAh is likely to be charged within 15 minutes. Vivo’s OriginOS will run out of the box on the device. It will have 256GB of internal storage. this  new iQOO flagship series could also be launched in India later this year.
